Jaylyn (jaylynya101) I read the book The Junktion of sunshine and lucky in fourth grade. I loved it so much that I came back to the library and asked a librarian for books like that and she found me Rules, Blue, and something I can not think of that. After that, I kept reading new books and that's how it happened. I did read some before but that was at school for D.E.A.R.S (drop everything and read silently) we did that at the end of the day but books were not my thing yet.

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) I don't remember which book I started with, but Andrew Clements books are the ones that got me into reading.

Karin I have no idea. I always loved books, when I started learning to read I just took off. There was no one book :)

BUT for my middle daughter it was a beginning reader kind of book from the library that was nonfiction. Before that she'd count every word on a page and if there were too many, she wouldn't read it. Later it was lines on a page. It didn't take long before she liked fiction and she loves reading now. For some reason, it was the fact that she could learn something on her own by reading that got her going. She was six and a half or so and at that point, homeschooled.

Silver Snapdragon I’ve always loved reading, but one book that got me really exited was the Just So collection of tales, because I learned to read in my head on that one. And I probably started really reading for myself with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. That one was my first β€˜big’ book.
