Chaol Westfall | 2 comments Fencing is one of the original Olympic sports, dating back to the 16th century. As the sport has evolved, the swords, or foils, that were used also evolved, eventually developing into the light and heavy foils that exist today. Therefore, this competition will be divided into two separate challenges, each presenting a gold, silver, and bronze medal to the top three countries.

Light Foil Competition
The light foil competition is ideal for anyone who is looking for a bit of "light" reading - literally and figuratively. Athletes have 48 hours to read as many books as possible that are less than 150 pages. And no, you may not read picture books. Books must contain multiple chapters to be considered eligible. In 48 hours, all athletes must post their total number of books read for this challenge, as well as their country. Results will be totaled for each country, and the country with the greatest number of books wins!

Heavy Foil Competition
The heavy foil competition invites members to read as many books as possible that exceed 450 pages within the next 48 hours. In 48 hours, all athletes must post their total number of books read for this challenge, as well as their country. Results will be totaled for each country, and the country with the greatest number of books wins!

Any books that you began reading prior to the posting of this message are not eligible for either challenge. You may want to get reading - you appear to have quite a few books to read!
