Coal Agnī | 202 comments Wijsheid's breath usually blew chills down Raleigh's spine, but considering the current living conditions, there was an odd warmth to be associated with it. Raleigh's breath, on the other hand, was always warm, given being human and all. He blew into his hands slowly, rubbing them together as he slipped into his little tomb of a sleeping bag. The snow wasn't falling heavy this time around, and for Raleigh, this was definitely the best possible scenario for camping out in the middle of nowhere. The Sierra Nevada, if you will.

The fire that crackled peacefully next to him swayed back and forth and crackled and Wijsheid took breaths. With a deep sigh, and the arch of one of his lovely, golden eyebrows, Wijsheid worded in the deep baritone that was his voice,"You look cold."
Raleigh's shivers traveled on the sound of his sarcastic laughter. "Yeah, you're not that good looking yourself hot stuff. Whatever happened to be able to survive in fifty two below?"
"I can survive in fifty two below. Just not comfortably. Besides, years of living with you where it's always seventy two and above can change a man."
Raleigh chuckled. "Yeah well, you should have been the exception to the rule. The rule doesn't exactly apply accurately in your demographics.

Coming out way out here was really just Raleigh's way of being able to bond with this good friend of his. For one reason or another, it was impossible for him to be able to told to Wijsheid without looking bat shit crazy or like a little kid with an imagination gone wild... Sometimes -usually under the influence of hard liquor- he still wonders why that always seemed to be the case.
