What counts as a superhero book?
Any book that has characters that have superpowers like telekinesis (moving things with your mind), super-hearing, super-sight, etc, etc.
This does not count magic! Magic would be part of fantasy.

This is one of my favourite genres so excuse me whilst I recommend sparingly. You can find all of these books on my superhumans shelf!
My Recommendations!
1.
Defender of the Realm by Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler
This book is:
- 1st in a trilogy.
- Also belongs to the genres of royalty, mystery and humour.
- Check out my review for it.
- I met the authors (after reading the book) and they are awesome.
- It’s #1 on my all time faves shelf right now.
Why I love it: Plot is divine. I wish I wrote it.
2.
The Eighth Day by Dianne K. Salerni
- 1st in a trilogy.
- Also belongs to genres of mythology, King Arthur and fantasy.
- It’s #3 on my all time faves shelf right now.
- Check out my review for it.
Why I love it: I want to live in this world.
3.
The Cloak Society by Jeramey Kraatz
- 1st in a trilogy.
- From the perspective of someone on the villain’s team!
- Isn’t on my all time faves shelf but the sequel is #9.
Why I love it: You grow to love all the characters.
4.
The Awakening by Michael Carroll
- 1st in a trilogy.
- Also has a spin off series.
Why I love it: This is pure superhero. Like watching Marvel/DC.
5.
Midnight for Charlie Bone by Jenny Nimmo
- 1st in a series.
- Also has a prequel series.
- Also belongs to the genre of mystery.
Why I love it: It’s Harry Potter-esque but still unique and amazing.

Omg I’m so happy you’ve read it! I loooove this series it definitely needs more attention! And I agree. WE NEED BOOK 4!! Book 3 ended with a few questions that I would love to be answered. But the author said that book 4 will probably never happen because the publisher decided not to publish it. The author said she’d planned for a book 4 and 5. Maybe some time in the future some other publisher will publish it. I hope so but it’s not likely :((((
