Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 271 comments I'm the author of clean books which suit young adults, however, they are historical novels, so I don't know if that's what you'd like.

Click on my profile and you'll see what's on offer.

I don't normally recommend my own books, but I see that no one has responded yet, so I hope this helps.

Jana Miller (jana_miller) Hi friends! I just released my first book this month, a clean YA speculative fiction that's fun for all ages but not as shallow as some YA tends to be. ;)

Springback

Kim | 42 comments I just finished Variant by Robison Wells. I think that’s his name! It is book one in a 2 part series. It was very clean, with some very minor swearing.

Linda Martin (lindajm) | 27 comments I've read the first three books in the Lunar Chronicles and they are clean - and entertaining. There are two more books in the series I haven't read yet.

Kim | 42 comments I commented that Variant is a clean YA book. It is, and so is the sequel Feedback, but it is IMO not very good. Apparently it was supposed to be a trilogy but the publisher said no, so it doesn’t have a very good ending. Kinda leaves you hanging and scratching your head as to what just happened.

message 12: by Kim (new)

Kim | 42 comments I second that the Lunar Chronicles are clean and good! I think I’ve read them all and I don’t remember anything objectionable.

Anna | 3 comments There is a new author named Intisar Khanani with several clean amazing YA books: The Sunbolt Chronicles, Thorn, and her newest book comes out this week.

I also love Kate Stradling's books--all clean. Many are re-telling of fairy tales like Legendary Inge, Brine and Bone, Goldmayne, Kingdom of Ruses, Tournament of Ruses. She also has dystopian science fiction (A Boy Called Hawk, A Rumor of Real Irish Tea, and Oliver Invictus.)

KM Shea also retells fairy tales. In my opinion, not quite as well written as Kate Stradling, but very prolific with lots of options. I liked her Beauty and the Beast the best.

Adelaide Thorne (goodreadscomadelaide_thorne) | 1 comments If I may do a shameless plug, my books are clean and YA! My trilogy is light sci-fi (X-Men and Divergent vibes). Let me know if you're interested in some sample chapters. :) The Trace

Jesse The Reckoners series is really good, also Skyward by the same authors is great, both clean. The Reckoners may have a bit of innuendo but nothing that bad.

Annmarie Roberts | 6 comments Try “Hollywood is Not Home” Good clean read with fun loving characters set in a Southern town with faith, family, and love.❤️🤗

Anna | 3 comments I really like Emily B. Martin’s books. Woodwalker and Sunshield are the starting books of Two fun adventure series that are clean.

I loved how she focuses on how the natural environment is a critical component.

S McRae (summermcrae) | 1 comments Unwritten (The Written World #1) by Summer McRae
Hey everyone! My name is Summer McRae, and I am a young adult novelist looking for a few readers to give me some honest feedback and to review my book. Here is the book description:

When your very existence is a threat to someone else’s happy ending, you might suddenly find yourself the main character of a deadly plot. After a freak explosion leaves Falon Snow with no memories of her past and struggling to fit in as a normal teenager, she has no choice but to rely on the woman she calls mother to help her rebuild who she was. When a cryptic letter brings her back to a house of her past, she discovers a very strange book that begins to unravel secrets of the life she's forgotten. A phantom in the attic and a mysterious handsome neighbor become a part of the story as Falon struggles to unlock the recesses of her mind before it’s too late. As dreams bring memories of a world she can’t quite believe exists, she gains glimpses of her lost grandmother, a forbidden love, and a jealous fiancé. If that weren’t enough, she accidentally summons more than one strange character from the place of her dreams into her own world, where they become desperate for Falon’s rare ability - an ability she doesn't even know she possesses. Now she will need to find a way to bridge the gap between the two worlds, try to find her grandmother, and piece her own story back together before someone else changes it entirely.

Zoe Patrick W. Carr's Darkwater Saga is really good. However, I wouldn't recommend it for younger audiences. I think it's appropriate for ages 14-15+ but it depends on your standards!
