Hello, my name is Dr. Detroit and I can barely play the radio. I was weaned on the Stooges, MC5, New York Dolls, Mott the Hoople, Alice Cooper, KISS, and a million and one garage rodents lugging their amps around to play "Land of 1,000 Dances" at every dive within 50 miles of the city, one of those kids for whom life without rock and roll certainly wouldn't have been worth living.
I enjoy the lovable incompetence and butt-shaking dementia of killer, monster punk garage music from the hoary 60’s, boozy and erratic old-school Brit punk, classic three-chord chug stripped of all hippie nonsense - think Eddie Cochran meeting Johnny Thunders at a keg party hootenanny and shamelessly, though effectively, steamrolling through everything from Jimmy Reed to Thin Lizzy - and low-budget films about giant mutated insects, blundering mega-crabs, rudely-awakened dinosaurs, monsters from the deep, aliens – both good and bad, but mostly bad – from distant galaxies, and one seriously pissed-off 50-foot woman.
I'm living in the past, blasting old Ronettes, T. Rex, Clash, Who, Little Richard, and Ramones records until the sun comes up (or the cops show up on my front porch), longing for the days when rock stars were discovered at the Marquee Club and not the Mickey Mouse Club, a member of the last generation dedicated to better living through electricity. And lead guitar. Hold all calls.

I’m 32 years old and I live in Riverside, NJ and I play the piano and i’m making bracelets for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey and I volunteer at the school and I have a medical problem
Hello, I'm Jonna. I'm a student (geography) and I'm from Germany. Music has always fascinated me but rock is the genre I identify with the most. I love all kinds of rock but especially classic rock from the 60s to 80s. So I'm actually interested in biographies or other good informativ books on this topic and i hope i can gather some knowledge from the discussions :) nice to meet you all.
