Letter Writing Guidelines:βοΈLetters can be written in any of the following languages: English, Italian, German, French, Spanish.
βοΈLetters can be written by all ages, children included. If you have kids home for holidays, have them write a letter/draw a picture too π
βοΈYou can write as many letters as you like. Each letter does not have to be in its own envelope, however a decorated envelope they open first is a nice added touch.
βοΈCreativity is welcome! Quotes, poems, drawings, stickers, bookmarks, postcards etcβ¦
βLetters should not be dated, nor addressed to a specific name/gender
βDo not include a return address on the individual letters. This is anonymous letter-writing to brighten the day of a senior. You will not receive a response to your letter.
βLetters should not include any religious, sexual, or controversial content.

"LETTERS OF LOVE FOR THE ELDERLY"
Join us in this special activity to support the "Love for the Elderly"
charity by writing a letter to a senior citizen in a nursing home to brighten up their day!
Many senior citizens living in nursing facilities and retirement homes report feeling lonely, isolated, or even depressed. The "Love for the Elderly" charity was started by a 13yr old teen who wanted to do something to touch the lives of these elderly, after his grandpa passed away.
I'm hoping that PenPal Readers members will join me this month in writing a letter. It can be short or long, you can send a letter or a card. You can write about yourself and where you live, you can share a poem, draw a picture, you can write about a favorite book. Optionally, you can include anything flat like a postcard or sticker or bookmark too.
Please see the next post below for more information and the mailing address to send your letter(s). The charity will distribute the letters to senior citizens in retirement homes and nursing homes throughout the USA.
Please comment below if you'll join us in this activity! Tell us where your letter will originate from! Update your post when you've mailed your letter! Let's see how many senior citizens we can share some joy with this month!
