Leonard Gaya (leonard_gaya) This is another beautiful chapter on a specific topic: the wind. Bachelard sees this as an expression of violence and anger, and also as a creative force. It's worth noting that he associates the wind with the scream, with the snakes and with the horses. All of these images have a sort of symbolic kindred.

According to Bachelard, Joseph Conrad is one of the great writers that use the wind as a main theme in their work. I would also add, with hinsight, Alain Damasio, author of one masterpiece on the wind: La Horde du Contrevent.
