or, there could be a ship wreck with people in it. i have a non-mer-person i could use.

or, there could be an oil spill, and all the wales and animals and mer-dudes could have problems with that. we could even have the oil catch on fire.

or, there could be an evel dude about. i like the super evil dude idea.

and a giant squid has been trainned to work for the evil side, and is attacking a city,
and melody has been swimming for days to bring word to the area these people are in.
