Haley Moreau (slytherinslibraryhj) Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this type of post (I do apologize if it is not) i'm looking for book recommendations, My mother is in a nursing home and loves to read, she goes through a book a day and my grandmother and I are running out of ideas of what books to bring her. Her all time favorite author is James Rollins, and she's read every Clive Cussler book. When we ask her what kind of books she likes, she never answers so its up to me and my grandmother to find books. If you have any book recommendations, please let me know!
Thank you!

Jim (jimmaclachlan) That's a worthy project. You might try Jack Higgins & Dick Francis. They're older authors who don't have a lot (any?) cussing or sex in their books, something that really turns many older people off. They also write pretty rousing adventures & mysteries.

Hi Haley, I am a James Rollins and Clive Cussler fan myself. Some authors you might want to take a look at are:

Robert Ludlum
Andy McDermott
Jeremy Robinson
Jack Du Brul
Matthew Reilly
Lincoln Child

Kevin Blitz (blitzkevin) | 5 comments If she likes likes Cussler and Rollins. I would also go for Daniel Silva, Brad Thor, Nelson Demille, Matthew Reilly and Steve Barry. Cussler also writes some books with Boyd Morrison who has his own series.

Enjoy.

Betty (bettywoj) | 3 comments Ernest Dempsey is a good author. He's written a series of 14 (maybe 15) books in the Sean Wyatt series, along with several other series. They're very exciting and adventurous. I also like to read Linda Castillo's Kate Burkholder series. Her 11th book in the series is due out soon.
