Capricious_Reads This is a topic I haven't seen on any other boards yet. Ever read a book that the ending, the story progression, characters, movie adaptation, etc make you want to throw the book across the room and go UGHHHHH!!! I'be had a few. The most recent was last year's Beautiful Creatures series. I loved the idea, loved the characters for their potential, and I even enjoyed the movie adaptation even though it was not quite like the book. Anyone else? Why or why not? What would you change?

Really? I admit, I also am not a fan of killing people, innocent children at that in order to prove a point. I enjoyed Katniss but I feel as if she became very much a brat at times. She loves Peeta, she doesn't. She wants to be the Mokingjay, she doesn't.

Have you read the Legend Trilogy? THAT. Made me so mad!!! I'm not looking forward to the movie because i know it won't hold true to the book.

Jasna Nickells | 116 comments I've read the Legend trilogy and I must say I thought it got worse through out. Have you read The Inheritance cycle? The end made me cry. It was annoying but poetic somehow. I jyst couldn't hate it

That's what I felt about the second one, but you might want to read the third because it is even better than the first.

I agree that the Legend trilogy got worse. I haven't read the Inheritance cycle. What is that about? Who's the author?

Jasna Nickells | 116 comments The author is Christopher Paolini and its is also known as the Eragon series. Its about magic, dragons and a corrupted king.

meghann (megs182) | 5 comments The ending to the Fallen series made me regret spending the money on all of the books because I knew I would never read them again. So disappointing.

Also, I just got all the books in the Divergent series, and now I'm a bit worried based on your comments!

Agreed. Wasn't please with the ending. It's like the creativity just went out the window.

Jonel So, I think the key to Allegiant is that it's so different from the rest of the series. I know I was bashing my head off of the wall by the end of it. That said. Had it been a book on it's own that wasn't connected to this series I probably would have liked it more (if you take out the last couple of chapters anyways). The concept behind it was neat & interesting, I just couldn't fit it into the concept I had from the first two books. Does that make any sense?

I'm kind of scared to read Four now Kara.....

I agree with that. As much as I understand why so many people enjoyed the series, the final book... Just Ugghhh.

Tanya | 81 comments I found the last book to be a bit boring, I had started reading it, then stopped and left if for a coupe of months then decided to try and finish it. (view spoiler)

Exactly although I think it was more done for shock factor, Maybe she thought that it would improve the book by throwing that in there. I didn't like it though it think it ruined the story.
