Okay please help!! Its a book I read around 2014-16, its about a boy who was born from a mother with light magic and a father who was the most feared wizard for having dark magic and on I think everyone's 16th or 17th birthday their magic is full and they find out if it is light magic or dark magic but this boy has dark magic before his birthday so people are trying to kill him before his magic can be awakened fully so that he doesn't end up like his dad... there is a girl who he has to slip away from where he is and pass a creek and go up a hill to wait for her, they could talk but I don't think they were allowed to touch for some reason.. That's all I can remember honestly.. Sorry for few details!
