OMG GUYS I CANNOT CONTROL MYSELF! S SCHOLASTIC ANNOUNCED TODAY THAT A PREQUEL OF THE HUNGER GAMES WILL BE COMING OUT MAY 19 2020! AHAHAHAH I AM SO EXCITED WHAT ARE YOU THOUGHTS???

Not as excited as you....but pretty darn excited! Did much for getting my youngest interested in books. That and Harry Potter.

IMO, the first book is the best.

So to answer y’all questions, it will be set 64 years before the events of the hunger games. So about the 10th hunger games? Suzanne is going to explore how they recover from the rebellion. There’s a lot more articles online about it.

People also are speculating if there will be Mags in it. Or if there will be hints from the last books. They president won’t be President Snow I don’t think. Because he was born when the 1st hunger games was being held. I’m not 100 percent sure though, so don’t count me on the one.

It won’t follow the protagonist Katniss Everdeen, but some new character. Suzanne is also working very closely with Lionsgate, to possibly produce a new film. Let’s just hope not to close...

19th May 2020 is the date I have seen for release. What does everyone think of the current cover? I can see why it kind of fits but aren't that keen on it.

I found a out a while ago. I'm really happy because it comes out around my birthday but its in Snow's perspective. But I bet it'll still be a good book.
