Julia | 3 comments This is driving me crazy. My dad lives in Lincoln, MA and I was just telling him how, when I was in high school, I read a book where the characters ate at Dairy Joy (an ice cream place) near Lincoln, MA and there was some discussion about the houses there, I believe?? Maybe they were house hunting? This was a very minor part of the story (was only mentioned on one page) but is of course all I can remember about it. It could be a short story bc I have been into short stories since high school but may not be a short story. I remember it being sort of melancholy. I was in high school from 2003-2007 and I think it could have been a new release around then. I thought it was a Jhumpa Lahiri story bc so many of her stories take place around Boston but I recently re-read her books and no dice. I wanted to find this short story/book bc my dad really wants to read it. Sorry this isn’t giving you much at all to go on!

Here's a Google Books preview of Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult - Rosa's suggestion:

https://books.google.com/books?id=yxW... There are different cover images.

Should we mark your request as Solved?
