When Hedges book was published nearly 20 years ago it seemed interesting but highly exaggerated, a "couldn't happen here." Very interesting to look back at what he wrote and the current presidential situation.

I agree; Hedges is one of my favorite writers but I somehow didn't get around to reading this particular book until after the election; talk about an OMG moment upon reading it.
