Go for it! I write a bit myself, more on the scifi/fantasy side of things, for example I'll base it on a dream or experience I have and alter it to have a more appealing edge if needed. I find it helps to write out a story outline and going from there! Don't be afraid to at lest try and write it, it might work out better then expected! It just takes a bit of trial and error to get it perfect but then again that's how all amazing authors start out anyway ☺️ Hope this helps xxx
I'm currently writing my own book and it's great that you came here for more advice. I did that as well and this group helped me so much. They made me realise that writing a book is something so special and awesome! I would love to read your story and tell you what I think ^-^

You can send it to me through my facebook maybe? My name is "Femke Lippens" and you can send me a private message with the document in it :)
It makes me so happy to see that so many people are going after their dreams of writing books. It inspires me to start writing myself :DElla: I may not be all that helpful when it comes to feedback but nonetheless I'd be super happy to read what you've written so far. The ideas and theme of the book sound really cute and interesting :)
I think writing a book about your own experiences would be neat. Or at least a book with events similar to your own. That's what i'm doing. I've actually got a bit of it written here. it's in a forum called 365AndCounting. i hope yours goes well :)
I know that this will probably sound really invalid however I shall say it anyway. I too want to write a book as it has always been a dream of mine, so I've started writing on wattpad. This way, I've been able to get an idea of how to go about writing a book and to see if people like how and what I write
that's so cool sweetie! please let me read it! if you'd like to you can send me this via my email (bleiddwen@gmail.com). I'd love to read it and give you some feedback. I'm writing my short stories since I was 13 (I'm almost 24 now) and when I was 14 or 15 I wrote my first novel (it was all rubbish so it's gone now, probably it was remade into toilet tissues or sth - so show your respect to toilet tissues! you never know whose novel or poem it was before!) anyway... don't ever give up on writing if it makes you happy, even if you think that it's a waste of paper. the thing is: write for yourself, don't think about what others may think about it, you're doing it for you, to feel better, to treat yourself, to spend time on something that is worthy. and step by step, very slowly, your writing will be improving and maybe one you'll get published! (and deep apologies for my every grammar mistake - English is not my native language and though I live now in the UK I'm still learning)
I write on wattpad, its a really good place to publish your work. My name on it is kreepycid if youre interested.
my goal and dream job is to be an author :) maybe one day.. hopefully haha
If anyone ever wants someone to read something they've written, or an opinion anything, I would love to read anything anyone has written! I would also be super happy to read and review books/stories on my blog (http://sharpie63.blogspot.co.uk/).
I'm looking for readers for the first draft of a novel I'm writing that I finished over the summer. If anyone is interested in reading it, go to figment.com and search either Allie Brown or Bound to You. Or, you can message me. Thanks!
I've done some writing as well (don't worry, it was in Dutch). What I've noticed is that the more you write, the easier it gets. The first few times you may hate what you wrote down, but you'll notice progress along the way.
I've posted some stories onto Wattpad and it's really nice to get feedback from readers (though it can be quite difficult to get readers at the beginning). I used it as a place to practice and kept my 'real' stories to myself, maybe for another time.
Anyway, I notice I'll start rambling, so I'll just end this with a: good luck! And please let us know about your progress!

i write every now and then. With school now it's been hard finding time. I have a lot of ideas in my head. story ideas.

Maybe you should look at posting them online just to start and get feedback. I am on a site called Wattpad :)
i'm thinking of writing a crossover story of two movies that i saw. It's 17again/bandslam crossover. the 17 again with zac efron, It's going to be an AU storyline.
I personally use Quotev to write my stories. You can also write stories with others if you want to. Good luck!
I've used writers café to post my story to although I didn't post full chapters and only posted about three chapters in total I think. But the feedback I had was great, people aren't shy on there and will tell you what they think of your story.
Definitely try using a website to upload your chapters as you go!! Wattpad is great because it's completely interactive and if you're successful enough has opportunity to get published

Basically I would love to write my own book one day but I have no idea where to start. I think id probably be best at writing about my own experience but making them more exciting and adding bits to it. My boyfriend recons that I should write a book about how me and him got together. Its not the most exciting story in the world but it took a long hard 3 years to get there. I have written down the basics in a blog I did earlier this year and I guess it would just be expanding on that and making it flow a bit better as some sections of it are really short and not detailed at all. I was just wondering if anyone would like to give it a read and give me some advice and feedback on how to improve it or what to change. Also it would be nice to see if you like my writing style.
I've never done anything like this before so I am a complete beginner and it probably wont even end up going anywhere as I'm always rubbish at being ambitious but it is one of my goals in life to write a book...so yeah :) let me know what you think and if you want to read the stuff I've got at the moment
Thank you :)
