An original story with reverse gender roles. I've seen reviews were people rant about how a female dominant character control and uses the male lead like a slave or sexual toy. How barbaric, or where has the morality gone to!!?? Truth be told, I feel like society finds it acceptable for males to dominate and use women perfectly normal but when a woman does it, it is seen as monstrous.
This isn't half bad. Both characters are growing where the older female learns to care for someone and the male lead learns to use and care for a woman who just wanted to use him originally. Whatever. The story is still good, and full of mystery where the empress is seen as a progressive, cruel and yet fair ruler adored by her people and feared by those that want to use her.
Do I recommend it:
Yes, who cares what people think when it actually has a good story, good characters, this isn't about your moral views ....
