Piper Templeton (pipertempleton) | 69 comments Thanks, Christine. I'm looking forward to this discussion.

If you plan to read my book, "Rain Clouds and Waterfalls," for this discussion, and you subscribe to Kindle Unlimited, I ask that you please download the book there as it is available on KU. This way, I'll get some movement on my Amazon numbers.

For those not on KU who plan to participate, I will make my book FREE on Amazon Kindle on Tuesday, September 9 through September 17.

Cheers!
Piper

Hi Piper,
I belong to Kindle Unlimited. What is the Amazon link to your book?

Thanks,
Kathy

Piper Templeton (pipertempleton) | 69 comments Apparently, I still have a lot to learn about the business side of self-publishing. I went to Kindle KDP to price "Rain Clouds and Waterfalls" at $0.00, and I was not allowed to. If anyone knows a way around this, please let me know.

In the meantime, I lowered the price to 0.99 cents. I'm also happy to email anyone interested in the discussion a pdf copy of the book.

Thanks,
Piper

Hi Piper - You're only allowed one KDP promotion every 90 days so if you ran another promo recently this could be why it's not allowing it. Your other two solutions are great though!

Piper Templeton (pipertempleton) | 69 comments Ah, that's right. I already ran the free promo. Thanks, Christine.

Kathy Golden | 32 comments Also, Piper, for your free promotion, you can split it up; you don't have to use all five days at once.

Sandra Fluck | 1 comments I reviewed Piper Templeton's Rain Clouds Waterfalls for bookscover2cover.com and highly recommend this book. It is a tender, coming-of-age story about a shy girl who goes through her adolescent years listening to the Beatles' albums that her older brother Jake left her when he got kicked out of the house. What is wonderful about this novel is the structural ingenuity: every chapter is titled after a Beatles' song or a solo song, and the cumulative effect is one of sweet pleasure, even though Ellen's story is suffused with a longing for Jake's return. The ending is very rewarding and so real.
