Heather | 8547 comments In your opinion, what is the most romantic work of art?

In the other thread Ruth posed a good question. Does this question refer to the Romanticism Movement? Or romantic as in the feelings of love?
It is the feelings that invoke love or affection, not the movement.

Heather | 8547 comments Again, sculpture is my favorite art medium and I finally own this one. I waited 8 years to attain this. It is by Camille Claudel, Rodin's mistress, student, and model. I love her work! I really like Rodin, too but I think her work is more romantic. His work is erotic, sexual. I think her's is more sensual, softer.

The Waltz
Camille Claudel
1889-1905

As opposed to:

Eternal Spring
Auguste Rodin
1884

Does anyone concur? See a difference? Or is it just me?

Kristine Henshaw (kristilou) Did you delete my comment and pic? Was I not supposed to post here? If so I'm sorry. It looked like an open forum.

Heather | 8547 comments No! I didn’t at all! I created this folder this morning. Your comment and pic are still in the ‘just for fun’ Folder. In fact, I want people to transfer their comments here! I don’t want to do it because then they would be under my name and they aren’t my comments. So if you would like to post your pic and comment in this new folder where I want to start posting the rest of the questions, I would love that! Thank you!

Kristine Henshaw (kristilou) I don't have the slightest idea of what you are talking about.

Kristine Henshaw (kristilou) So what is the difference between this page and the one you linked me to?

message 8: by Heather (new)

Heather | 8547 comments The only difference is this one is a whole FOLDER dedicated solely to the questions from the Met whereas then other was just a THREAD and the questions would have been stacked one on top of the other.
Here we have one question per thread so we can separate the answers to each question. There, once we’ve gone into another question, one would have to keep scrolling back to find previous questions and it would have just been a bother and a mess. I was just trying to make it easier for future comments and clean it up a bit.

Kristine Henshaw (kristilou) So how would I have known where to find the thread where I was supposed to post if you had not linked me to it? This has confused me before when you talked about threads and folders as regards to movie and book reviews.

Heather | 8547 comments Kristine, I’m sorry. You seem frustrated and I’m not sure how to go about all of this. I don’t know how I would have made it known to anyone or everyone. I can only assume that people get the notifications where there is a new post and for them to read that. I’m sorry you didn’t understand. Maybe my instructions weren’t clear enough. I’m sorry I am not as competent at explaining myself. I hope you have been able to figure it out now? Is there anything else I can do to help you with this?
