Here is a place for us to discuss some of our favorite or hated YA series

So what's everyone's favorite series so far?
Right now I'm torn between The Cress series and The Selection series.

For me so far? Parasol Protectorate, Uglies.

I have the uglies on my to read list but I haven't gotten around to reading them yet.

I had to re-order the whole set from ebay. I gave my other set to the library.

Lol I have collected it over the years but just haven't jumped in yet. Right now I just finished The Selection series and I'm in the middle of the Choas Walking series and Just one Day series.

If you want to buddy read it down the line, lemme know, I posted it in our thread.

I might just take you up on that if you will give me a little time to finish out some of my others.

I don't know about you guys but I've really enjoyed The Lunar Chronicles. Marissa Meyer was about to rewrite Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Snow White in away that keeps the important details of each story but doesn't make you feel like your reading the same old fairy tale. I actually didn't even catch the snow white reference until this morning when I was thinking about Levana and her hatred for mirrors!!!
If you guys have picked up this series yet you should give it a try.

I am in the beginning of Cinder. She just found the old gasoline car in the junkyard. :-) Way in the beginning. HaHa

Oh just wait. Things get crazy!if you pay attention there are a lot of little things that link back to the original stories. Some really obvious but aren't and you don't connect them, or I sent, till later on.

There are plenty of people to hate in that series. Some that I loved in the beginning I hated by the end.

The Heir Chronicles is in my TBR (I really need to read that! Where is a volunteer buddy reader!) and I am going to add Seven Realms now that you have verified that I should add it. (Another volunteer buddy reader needed)

Yes. Def read Seven Realms. :) I'm already 9/10th of the way through the 4th book and have read it too recently to re-read yet. So I can't be your buddy reader. :(

(view spoiler)[Someone in that fucking palace with their little lunar dcomm chip is a backstabber, and methinks it is that advisor of Prince Kai's. Cinder has to be the lost Princess Selene obviously, because the Dr. is a Lunar, and gave a tinkers damn about the disease, he must be wanting queen bitcho off the throne.

Ya know, the original Cinderella fairy tale always got me steamed up, no matter how many times I read it to the girls, or watched it on Disney.

I was thinking today that Prince Kai should clock queen bitcho, and let Cinder kick her to death in a bloody pulp. Just escalate that rating to "R" for graphic violence, "Showing, not telling.", descriptions of brain matter splattering on the walls, on her boots, slipping in the pool of blood, falling on her, going into a rage, and tearing body parts into a pulp of flesh.

The girls always laugh when we watch Disney's version, and I just rage on that Stepmother for dogging "Cinderelly, Cinderelly..."

The third installment isn't released yet, but I have enjoyed the Hemlock series by Kathleen Peacock so far.
