So what's everyone's favorite series so far?Right now I'm torn between The Cress series and The Selection series.
Lol I have collected it over the years but just haven't jumped in yet. Right now I just finished The Selection series and I'm in the middle of the Choas Walking series and Just one Day series.
I don't know about you guys but I've really enjoyed The Lunar Chronicles. Marissa Meyer was about to rewrite Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel and Snow White in away that keeps the important details of each story but doesn't make you feel like your reading the same old fairy tale. I actually didn't even catch the snow white reference until this morning when I was thinking about Levana and her hatred for mirrors!!!If you guys have picked up this series yet you should give it a try.
I am in the beginning of Cinder. She just found the old gasoline car in the junkyard. :-) Way in the beginning. HaHa
Oh just wait. Things get crazy!if you pay attention there are a lot of little things that link back to the original stories. Some really obvious but aren't and you don't connect them, or I sent, till later on.
Christina wrote: "Oh just wait. Things get crazy!..."Ok, I am already starting to hate people in this book. LOL Not Cinder of course...
There are plenty of people to hate in that series. Some that I loved in the beginning I hated by the end.
Guy wrote: "Well start listing them anyways BB, we are interested. HaHaHa..."Well all of Tamora Pierce's series. (Lioness, Protector of the small, etc.) I also like the Selection series and the Cress series.
Others:
Crewel World by Gennifer Albin
Worldwalker by Josephine Angelini
Lux by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Darkest Powers by Kelley Armstrong
The Grisha by Leigh Bardugo
Circle of Three by Isobel Bird
Modern Faerie Tales by Holly Black
The Mediator by Meg Cabot
Insatiable by Meg Cabot
Airhead by Meg Cabot
1-800-Where-R-U by Meg Cabot
The Morganville Vampires by Rachel Caine
Goddess Test by Aimee Carter
Graceling Realm by Kristin Cashore
House of Night by P.C. Cast
Seven Realms by Cinda Williams Chima
The Sight by David Clement-Davies
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz
The Chemical Garden by Lauren DeStefano
The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting
The Lone City by Amy Ewing
That's all I'll list for now. But honestly it's pretty much all the series in my teen list. :P
I have not read the hunger games. My older Daughters have.LUX I decline commenting on for torn reasons. I was going to re-read it with someone, then that person backed out, and I was relieved! ;-)
The Heir Chronicles is in my TBR (I really need to read that! Where is a volunteer buddy reader!) and I am going to add Seven Realms now that you have verified that I should add it. (Another volunteer buddy reader needed)
Yes. Def read Seven Realms. :) I'm already 9/10th of the way through the 4th book and have read it too recently to re-read yet. So I can't be your buddy reader. :(
Christina wrote: "There are plenty of people to hate in that series. Some that I loved in the beginning I hated by the end."The list is getting longer... (view spoiler)
Oh just wait. She's so much worse than you think! Wait till you meet Farewell Thorne...... I love him! My favorite.
