Hi Jean:I really enjoyed your poem and, strangely, I've never thought of Jesus weeping because he called Lazarus from heaven back to earth. Thanks for sharing your heart-felt poem.

I can believe that would be one reason. I believe that He wept because He knew that once again, He was having to show that He was the Son of God to those around Him that had seen all of His works already, and still did not believe. He also wept for the world to come, up to us today and beyond, who will also hear His word, and yet, will still refuse to believe Him. God bless!
Wonderful poem and interesting insight. I also believe Jesus might have wept because he understood the sorrow his friends felt and for their lack on unbelief that he could do the impossible. No matter what the reason, one thing for sure we know that Jesus cares.
