message 8: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) Has anyone read Infinite Sea and The Last Star from a Christian point of view? The Fifth Wave wasn't super clean, so I was wondering if it got better or worse.

teddy bear (tedawson) iloveu3000 wrote: "Is "An Abundance of Katherines" by John Green worth reading?"

I actually liked "An Abundance of Katherines". It was not one of my favorite John Green books that I have ever read. "Turtles All The Way Down" has been my all-time favorite. Although I am a little biased, I love all John Green books! I would say to try it for sure :)

message 10: by Reagan (new)

Reagan (reaganmariej) @Harper Nicole I only read the 5th Wave and didn't read any further, I think it gets worse from the reviews I read, but I'm not 100% sure

message 11: by Harper Nicole (new)

andrea hartmann (andrea_h111) | 51 comments @Clara- I know that not everybody liked it, but I loved the Book Thief and at one point it was my favorite book.

Has anyone read Everything Everything? Is it worth reading?

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Yea! It's good!

message 23: by teddy bear (new)

teddy bear (tedawson) I love Everything Everything. It was such a sweet story but also makes you think!

message 24: by Alexis (new)

Alexis Rowe | 5 comments Definitely read Everything Everything! It’s so cute but also intriguing and the doodles/extra features throughout the book really add something extra special to the experience!! For sure worth it!! :)

message 25: by Reagan (new)

Reagan (reaganmariej) I didn't really enjoy Everything, Everything, the ending was terrible in my opinion.

message 26: by m (new)

m | 2 comments I agree I didn’t like everything everything either. The ending was horrible

message 27: by Isabel (new)

Isabel (aj-izzy) | 18 comments Hello! Is "The List" by Siobhan Vivian a good read? It seems pretty interesting, I'm curious others have to say about it.

message 28: by Hannah (new)

Hannah | 3 comments Harper Nichols— I actually really liked the last couple of books in the 5th Wave trilogy. I read them a solid two years after finishing the first book though, so I can’t exactly make a fair comparison, but if you like sci fi in general you’ll likely enjoy those books. They aren’t Christian books, but I don’t specifically remember any of that gray morality that’s so popular in YA now. Hate that whole “bad is good and the ends justify the means” thing.

Reagan (reaganmariej) Has anyone read Caraval I own it so I'm obviously going to read it, but want to know whether to expect to like it or not

andrea hartmann (andrea_h111) | 51 comments Has anyone read The Lunar Chronicles?

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

Isabel, I figured it out, but please specify who you are responding to, as there were a few questions before. You can do this by clicking the reply button on the user's comment, or addressing them in your comment. Thanks, Leah

Isabel (aj-izzy) | 18 comments Andrea wrote: "Has anyone read The Lunar Chronicles?"

Sorry, I think I did this wrong last time, but yes, it's amazing! It's very modern day, with a few robotics and running from the law and space fiction, take on common princesses, like snow white or rapunzel. Very great series, I'd definitely recommend it! :)

message 34: by andrea (new)

andrea hartmann (andrea_h111) | 51 comments @Isabel oh well yeah I probably did this wrong but I’m on Cress rn and I’m definitely finishing the series because I love it but if you’ve read Stars Above and Fairest, are they worth reading?

message 35: by Isabel (new)

Isabel (aj-izzy) | 18 comments Andrea wrote: "@Isabel oh well yeah I probably did this wrong but I’m on Cress rn and I’m definitely finishing the series because I love it but if you’ve read Stars Above and Fairest, are they worth reading?"

They aren't necessary to really love and understand the series, but their fun to read! Stars Above is a few interesting short stories, but I liked Fairest a lot more because it focussed on one of the main characters and it really give you an insight into her life. If you have time (and don't have an overflowing list of books to read, like me:) it's definitely a good read and worth it!

Mahalia Lily, Queen of the Shadowhunters! | 14 comments Has anyone read any books by Tamora Pierce?
They're super good!

Erin O'Connor {If The Review Fits} | 18 comments @Mahalia I just started Tempest and Slaughter by her!

Reagan wrote: "Has anyone read Caraval I own it so I'm obviously going to read it, but want to know whether to expect to like it or not"

Not sure if you are still wondering, but I've read the Caraval series and it was absolutely incredible! Probably one of my all time favorite series!

Nari--MedievalPrincess wrote: "I hope Caraval is interesting!"

omg it's so amazing

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Nari--MedievalPrincess wrote: "Does it have a sequel?"

Yes! The series is made up of three books:
#1- Caraval Caraval (Caraval, #1) by Stephanie Garber

#2- Legendary Legendary (Caraval, #2) by Stephanie Garber

#3- Finale Finale (Caraval, #3) by Stephanie Garber
