I haven't finished a book in a while (but I'm currently reading 3 books). Also goodreads says I'm 5 books behind on my challenge and it's giving me anxiety :'D

Yes, I've read The Rithmatist, which was amazing, but it doesn't look like the sequel is coming out any time soon

Is anyone else bothered that you can't count fanfiction to your goodreads challenge? :'D do you guys count fanfics in anyway?
Oh for a long time I was only reading fanfic as became addicted, I try to check if available on goodreads as much as possible so I can use in challenges where I can. One I read recently fit like 5 of my challenges it was awesome! I don't read anything less then 100pgs or 50k words generally, so have got lucky with finding many on here... Although ao3 I have bookmarked as read over 900 fanfic at this point 😂

So far I've only found one fic that's available on here

Some pairings seem to be more popular on here, while others are not on here at all.
I just read the occasional Clexa fic (one I've found on here :D) and recently started to get into Avengers fics. And some Harry Potter but not much. whatever I'm in the mood for and what sounds interesting!
Oh awesome! Well there does tend to be a lot of avengers and Harry Potter fic on here, so hopefully have better luck with finding and using some of those 😊
Hey everyone, I just created a book blog (let's see how long I'll stick with it), so maybe you want to take a look :) There's not much on there yet but I'm gonna start posting all my reviews there.https://anni-the-bookprincess.blogspo...

Hey all! I realized I never really gave an explanation to you guys for my sudden disappearance for almost a year since around September last year 😔 University got very hectic and my schedule suddenly became too busy for me to handle (as life does do that sometimes) I'm in a pre med course and real life just needed my attention. Sorry about that. I was going through the archives folder and just saw that some of you were wondering what happened, so thank you so much for the concern ♡ I'm back now (and very happy to be) after I got my life sorted out :)
That's it, I just wanted to share with you guys since I've really enjoyed being a mod in this group since I get the chance to talk and meet so many wonderful people!
If anyone fancies helping I have a vague memory of the plot of a book I previously saw on goodreads, didn't mark off and have now forgotten the name of. Its YA, follows the story of two characters one male one female from the female POV of them working in a bookshop, competing to sell the most. I think it was something to do with winning a holiday or some other prize. The guy wasn't as into books as the girl but he somehow had better sales?
If anyone knows it please tell me as it's really annoying me being sat anonymously sitting at the back of my mind :)

Hello, not a typical post for here but I'm a school librarian and I have an 11 year old student who LOVES the Warrior Cat series by Erin Hunter. She's read all the ones I have in the library and is looking for something new. I've pulled a few things from the shelves but they don't interest her. Anyone got any recommendations for what I could offer her next?

I haven't read the Warrior Cat series but around that age I would recommend: The School for Good and Evil series, Percy Jackson series, The Young Elites series

ANNOUNCMENT!If you've been around the buddy reads threads or the team challenges you probably already know them but let's all give a warm welcome to our newest Mod: Mina !!
Currently reading the Gilded Cage by Lynette Noni, scared since I wasn't a fan of Book 1.
Also would Smile by Raina Telgemeier be considered a cover with not a lot of design for the challenge.

hey i wanted to know if anyone has read Less by Andrew Sean Greer. It has a Pulitzer, and some good reviews, but there's also some bad ones and I haven't been able to get into it after the first chapter anyway. PLZ LEMME KNOW

I have recently finished Ailton Krenak's Ideas to Postpone the End of the World. It is a collection of three of his lectures, including topics that entwined with environmental crisis, capitalist society, indigenous philosophical thoughts on meaning and being. It is an amazing collection and shows his talents on lecturing, how he use different words to weave his ideas . Actually I am planning to formally write a book review for this work and trying to analyze his rhetorical characteristics, which is described as "cannibalism in rhetoric" by his friend:)
