Good read's doesn't have many reviews and there are a number of UK authors here with many reviews on good reads which leaves me with a question why such a lackluster response?

I focussed on writing the books and marketing to the domestic audience in the UK as, obviously, this was necessary to establish a platform. Now that I have three novels under my belt and a fourth being edited, I'm trying to expand my readership and feel a bit more comfortable about reaching out via Goodreads regarding American readers. So the lacklustre response to this point is a product of my reluctance to promote my novels before I'd established a platform in my home market. Goodreads has some very discerning readers and it was important to me that I had some social proof that my novels are well-received before promoting them on this forum.

My Action/Adventure novels are doing really well in the UK but not so well known to a US readership. My latest, The Killing Agent has recently been published and continues to gather 5 star reviews on Amazon. It is available in Kindle Unlimited for any keen readers interested in trying out a new author. My background in counter terrorism and counter insurgency helps me bring some authenticity to the novels that readers really seem to enjoy. Anyway, keen to hear your thoughts,
James
