All Challenges All The Time discussion

So mostly everyone has heard of the game spin the bottle even if they never played it. The object of the game is to have a group of people sit in a circle and spin the bottle that is in the middle of the circle. Whoever the person the bottle lands on, the spinner must kiss. So we're going to play the book version of Spin the bottle.

Here's how to play

1. Go to Dice Roller and set the number of dice to one Die. Then roll your die
2. Once you roll a number to the first circle below, and starting from "Start" move clockwise around the circle the number you rolled. When you land you must complete the task there to be able to roll again. Each circle has 12 spaces and 11 tasks
3. You can only move to a new circle once you land on the "Start" space again. However if you feel like you'd like to continue on the same circle for awhile to do more tasks there, then you may roll the dice again and continue on that circle. Once you land on "Start" again then you may move to a new circle.
4. Once you move to a new circle you will be on the "Start" space of that circle, so you can roll again and move to a task space
5. Keep going until you have completed at least one task per circle.

Rules:
1. You can take as long as you'd like to play the game.
2. Tasks that say one word like "Vampire" or "Ghost" means that you have to read a book featuring that creature
3. When reading tasks for author's name you can use either the author's first or last name
4. In your master post, separate the tasks according to each circle

Duration: 11/1/2017 - Til Done!

So mostly everyone has heard of the game spin the bottle even if they never played it. The object of the game is to have a group of people sit in a circle and spin the bottle that is in the middle of the circle. Whoever the person the bottle lands on, the spinner must kiss. So we're going to play the book version of Spin the bottle.

Here's how to play
1. Go to Dice Roller and set the number of dice to one Die. Then roll your die
2. Once you roll a number to the first circle below, and starting from "Start" move clockwise around the circle the number you rolled. When you land you must complete the task there to be able to roll again. Each circle has 12 spaces and 11 tasks
3. You can only move to a new circle once you land on the "Start" space again. However if you feel like you'd like to continue on the same circle for awhile to do more tasks there, then you may roll the dice again and continue on that circle. Once you land on "Start" again then you may move to a new circle.
4. Once you move to a new circle you will be on the "Start" space of that circle, so you can roll again and move to a task space
5. Keep going until you have completed at least one task per circle.

Rules:
1. You can take as long as you'd like to play the game.
2. Tasks that say one word like "Vampire" or "Ghost" means that you have to read a book featuring that creature
3. When reading tasks for author's name you can use either the author's first or last name
4. In your master post, separate the tasks according to each circle

I was rereading the directions and wonder if I've read them wrong. You say when you get back to start you can move on to the next circle. Do you have to land directly on start, or can you overshoot it, if that makes sense, and still move to the next circle?

I didn't set this up, Teri-K, but it you can only move to a new circle once you land on the "Start" space again....so you would need to land directly on "Start" I think.

Oh dear. I was doing it wrong. I'll go back and fix that. Sometimes I get one idea in my head and it just sticks... Thanks for clarifying. :)

I have definitely been trying to land directly on Start. I'm on my 22nd try for one of the circles, which tops 14 for another. This is taking me a loooong time. Ha, ha. But it's fun and I'm enjoying it. Thank goodness there isn't a time limit.

Wow! That's a lot of times around. lol

I removed my later ones and went back and spun for the first circle, and hit Start anyway. lol So now I'm on Circle two again. Since I get lots of my books from the library it helps me to be able to plan ahead some; I will be going around circle 2 twice. We'll see what happens with the next one...
