As much as I love this series, the previous books have taken me quite a while to get through so I think I'm going to try and read a handful of pages per day over the next week or so :)

I binged this on Tuesday so I'll have to go back and remember what happened when lol

Finally actually starting this one!!

First quarter - (view spoiler)[ This book aint messing about!!! First of all, how dare they kill Solovoy. My heart wasn't ready for that. I truly thought Vasya was going to follow him in to death but was saved by the very unlikely figure of the bear. Her escape into Midnight was also unprecedented and I have no idea what will happen next. I'm only 70 pages in and every one of these has so far been a wild ride! (hide spoiler)]

It definitely started with a bang.

Second quarter - (view spoiler)[Vasya is recovering from her attempted murder in Midnight. Her ancestor was Baba Yaga and wishes to join forces. She still has the Bear willing to ally with her on the other side, though. I have no idea who she should trust. She will not leave Rus and the world she knows to suffer and die though. She will fight for them... somehow. The introduction of a new horse gives me hope that she will take Solovoys place, if not in Vasya's heart then at least to aid her in this life. This has been such a painful read so far! I was not ready for all these emotions (hide spoiler)]
