I read this back in February. I really enjoyed the story, but I personally feel like the romances are a bit...forced. Maybe it’s just me.
Heya peoples! Discussion leader in da house! (Lol yeah I know 😂)I am starting this today! *is excited* :D
To start things off:Q: Which of the two covers do you like best?
Personally I love the original grey one - the crown is a work of artbin that one, but the one I own is the blue one - the fire crown here is cute but it still can't compare to the original. :/
There was a different cover?! I have to go look now! I just started this today and am pretty excited

And the Alternate cover is this:

Chloé wrote: "What language are you guys reading Ash Princess in ? I’m curious"English for me. I don't think there are many languages available to begin with. What's yours?
I too read this, and its sequel "Lady Smoke", earlier this year. It took awhile for me to get into it, but I look forward to its third book.
I like the original cover; that's actually the one on the book I borrowed from the library. I think it conveys the idea of "Ash Princess" much better.
I’m about halfway through now and can’t put it down. Very curious about what’s about to happen next cause things seem to almost be going too well for Theo
Started a few weeks back and honestly I read the first few chapters and haven't picked it up again since. Just finding it hard to get into, so I'm hoping it will get better once I delve back into it and read a little further along. So far I'm not sold on the characters or their interactions with one another, but who knows, my opinion may change once I've finished it.
The novels not bad but if i'm being honest i expected more. I also just really dislike Theodosia and i'm not too sure if i'm the only one. Not too mention i got the version with the blue cover :(
Anyone finished with it? It wasn’t my favorite of 2019 but overall it ended up being better than I thought when I was about halfway through I wasn’t sure how it was going to be.
It started out really slow but got interesting halfway through. Not my favourite but a good book nonetheless. Hoping the sequel will be better.Do y'all prefer Blaise or Kaiser?
I finished a few days ago and lucky it managed to redeem itself towards the end. I really want her to be with Soren and I definately want to se more of Soren's half brother (can't remember his name for the life of me). I think I'll read the second book though.
I'm so sorry! I confused Kaiser with Soren!!! Kaiser is the evil king right???I meant Do ya'll prefer Blaise or Soren?
Thank Mimi :)
P.S :- Soren has a half brother??? Who??
Ahaha it's no problem! I'm sure he'll be the Kaiser soon enough ;) I Googled it and his name was Erik and his mother was Hoa. Did anyone else really dislike Crescenta??
Ugh, yes. Crescentia was no good. I wonder how she survived the poison. Does this mean she might have some special abilities?
I read it a while ago, so only remember being vaguely disappointed. I think some of it was quite unoriginal, but some of it was okay. Most of the characters were really annoying (except the 3 shadows. They were cool) but then in the second book things did get somewhat better.
It seemed like a mix of Avatar and Throne of Glass for me but I'm definitely still reading the second one.
team soren! blaise just felt a bit boring to me, and it wasn't cool when he tried to force theo to kill cress.
I'm team Soren too! The way he stood up to Kaiser for Theo was commendable. And even when she tried to kill him, he was calm and understood where she was coming from.
