(Chapters 13 - 16)

Hello, what are your thoughts on these chapters?

The humorous elements picked up a lot more in these chapters for me again. Chapter 15 is especially good, given how Lewis has Screwtape extolling the virtues (or how against their plans it is) for the "patient" to live in the present. How living in the present as opposed to the future or the past can only alleviate his anxiety. How mindful of Lewis. lol

Chapter 13 also had something along the same vein, actually, by bringing to attention how the simple pleasures of a book read just for enjoyment and a nice walk to the mill may make Wormwood lose the "patient."

Religious or not, I think that both of these chapters touch on something as chronically ill and (some of us) disabled readers need to be reminded of more than most: that it's the small pleasures in life that make it worthwhile and to try and stay in the present that living in the future and the past is where anxiety is most likely to fester out of control.

I did find these chapters okay, but I feel like it is staring to become a little repetitive.
