Colour Bar: The Triumph of Seretse Khama and His Nation by Susan Williams- I'm going to be away first half of September so might struggle to lead very actively until the 16th or so, but can get a thread started on the 1st.
I'm going to nominate The Family Romanov: Murder, Rebellion, and the Fall of Imperial Russia by Candace Fleming
I nominate "Lizzie Siddal: The Tragedy of a Pre-Raphaelite Supermodel" by Lucinda Hawksley. I could lead.Sorry about not linking the book but I am travelling at the moment & using the Goodreads App.

A GR list of women biographies, not necessarily by women, of 2018: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
I´d like to nominate The Brontë Myth by Lucasta Miller, not only a biography of the Bronte sisters, but also literary criticism of earlier biographies. I´d rather not lead.
I nominate Sounds and Sweet Airs: The Forgotten Women of Classical Music by Anna Beer. It is the biographies of eight women composers, ranging from the 17th to the 20th century. I'm happy to lead.

1. Book must be by a female author (transwomen and women using male pseudonyms are women).
2. Book must be a biography of a historical figure. This is different than an auto-biography or a memoir.

4. You cannot nominate a book you have written yourself.
How to Nominate:

3. Indicate whether you are willing or not to lead discussion if your nomination is chosen.
4. One nomination per person.
*Here is a Goodreads list of Popular Historical Women Nonfiction books, although not all of these are written by women and there is no caveat that your nomination must be about a woman.
- And 150 women by women from thebooklistreader.com, although some of these are memoirs rather than biographies. Hopefully these lists help, please feel free to post any lists you find.
