I wanted to come up with something new here but couldn't find anything that jumped out. Most I'd read and the others I found were all YA. I have nothing against YA but you'd think someone would have brought the topic up into a novel geared for a slightly older audience.I considered several but finally decided I'd nominate:
Midnight for Charlie Bone
It seems that even now "magic school novels" can't escape comparison to the Harry Potter series. This series (Children of the Red King) might be called the "anti-Harry Potter as the school and the teachers are in short, evil.
It's a lot like the school Voldemort might have run I suppose...
So again, nomination:
Midnight for Charlie Bone
Etiquette & Espionage by Gail CarrigerBought this a while back when it was on special. Been meaning to getroundtoit. Special school for young women -- steampunk rather than fantasy, I believe.
Mike (the Paladin) wrote: "Read that one a while back."Mike, I assume that means "you" read it a while back rather than the group, as I don't see in in the list of previously read works. ??
Oops, yeah sorry. I was saying I read the book a while back, not that it had been read by the group. Sorry.Okay I edited the post.

In print is considered a nice touch. No renomination of previously read works. (List here: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...)
Members who have been active for several months may nominate their own works.
