Liz (liz_the_librarian) So I got to thinking after last week's thread that everyone has different reading habits. Tell us about yours!

Do you read before bed? Do you read at home or go to a coffee shop? Do you listen to audiobooks? Do you prefer a physical book or do you like eBooks better? Are you the type of person who can only focus on one book at a time, or do you have multiple books going at once?

I'm definitely a multiple-books-at-once person. I usually have a book I'm reading related to some sort of goal (i.e. read all of Stephen King), a book that I randomly picked up and an audiobook. I read most often on my lunch break at work and for a little bit before bed. I also get a lot of "reading" time via audibook when I'm commuting to and from work.

Ann (ann-fracturedfiction) | 516 comments Yes! I read before bed, at lunchtime, at home, at coffee shops. I listen to audiobooks, I read ebooks and physical books, and I usually have more than one book going at a time.
I seem to be in a read all of one series phase, I've finished reading Victoria Thompson (except for the newest one- which the library doesn't have), and am now reading Charles Todd's mysteries. The ebook that I'm reading is called The Captain's Daughter, a novel about survivors of the Titanic, and the audiobook I'm listening to is Origin in Death by J.D. Robb.

Pattie Babbitt I used to be a single book person, but now I usually have a book going at every level (one adult, one YA, one for middle schoolers) plus one audiobook at any time. As a mom of 2 young boys, I squeeze reading into any moment I can. My favorite time to read is during commercial breaks, although having a DVR is starting to kill that habit. I cannot read too close to bed, or I end up ignoring bed time and finishing my book no matter how much I have left to go, and that does not lead to a good day at work.

Jennifer Penn (jenniferpenn) | 41 comments definitely a real book person. I love the feel of them. As far as when I read, the would be determined by my 4 year old and husband lol. I really just get to it when I have a free moment like waiting to pick up my husband at work, etc. And I read one at a time, I have enough going on without trying to keep up with multiple books.

Kyra Hay | 41 comments Starting school up again has kept me super busy! I read while my boyfriend watches football, in between classes, before bed, pretty much whenever I get a spare moment in! I love my kindle because it's so practical but appreciate a real book as well!

Angela Malerman (angelamal) | 41 comments I guess I am behind on the ball here. I did not have my computer most of the summer while camping and with school starting... well....

I read anywhere and everywhere I can! I always have a book with me, whether it is a real live paper book or my kindle or on audio to listen to while driving. I have usually 5 or more going at once as I have a bed time book, a quick read for "homework" time where I read as the kids do homework and my audio again while doing my morning walk/run/biking as well as one in the car for driving.

I love stories. I am not so much into the television thing but love a good engaging writer.

Ingrid Hurst (bookrdr) | 285 comments Fun question! 1st choice is a book because I love to be in the library searching for what I want to read next.
Kindle is fun. Especially when traveling to lighten the load or get a new book easily.
I also always try to have an audiobook going in the car. Now that my daughter made the dance team I spend even more time in the car commuting.
Usually I have a book w/ all the time. It really helps during the long waits for doctor appts, having lunch, stuck for a bridge lift...plus I read before bed or any chance I can grab.
One book is best for me & one audiobook.
