How do you appreciate a piece of book or a page that really sticks to you?

Most of tthe time I journal about it ---- by hand. I'll talk endlessly to my husband about what I like, enjoy, or dislike about a book. If there is an adaption of any sort, I want that page or scene in it because to me that's the best part.
