I see a lot of people rooting for Loki and Finn but am I the only one who feels like the author did not build up a relationship with either one of them? It's like they meet and at a random place in the book the author decides that person should be Wendy's love interest. Wendy is not even attracted to either Loki or Finn when she first sees them. If the relationship was supposed to be spontaneous at least Amanda Hocking could of made a love at first sight cliche.

It's been a while since I read this but I remember her be attracted to Finn the moment she met him in school.

And then when she met Loki when she was trying to escape wasn't she intrigued by him.

I'd be the first to admit that I wanted her to end up with Finn but after reading the whole series I think Loki was the one she did love. I don't think her relationship with Finn would have lasted.

Stenedria That's my view on the books too. Wendy was kinda creeped out by Finn at first but once he shows her new life, she started to like him more. However, I ...more

Well I did her want to end up with Finn but now I am glad that Wendy ended up with Loki!

I loved this trilogy, but I agree there should have been more of a build up with Loki. I just assumed the author was trying to illustrate how some couples learn to love each other after becoming official. Like an arranged marriage, this one was for unity of their world. Her heart was broken by Finns inability to love her despite classifications. Loki would have been the one person close to her station that she had slight interest in which grew exponentially by his actions that reflected her own views and values. He knew the world she had to rule. Not all great loves start with passion.

She loved Finn more because he was the first person she could relate to, like an ugly duckling realizing it is actually a swan.
