Roxanna Haley | 6 comments I had a great time with Joy and Martin last night, and Jeanene by text. 8) wonder if in the future we should take a hiatus during July? It's a busy month for lots of us. Were I to get the house in shape, we could do a barbecue at our house and not worry about a book.

So August will be sci-fi. The novel Red Shirts by John Scalzi was suggested. I'm thinking we should keep putting up past nominations that weren't chosen but got a couple of votes

September will be fantasy. Anyone a fan of Stephen R. Donaldson? Have you read the Mordant's Need series? Only two books, the first one is The Mirror of Her Dreams. One of my favorites.

October is Horror Month. Here's a list of ten underrated books we can select from. https://www.barnesandnoble.com/blog/t...

November is way past summer. So I guess I'll stop there but maybe put in a vote for a member-led month again.

Lindsay | 11 comments I think reading some prior nominations that weren't selected is a good idea.

Did I miss August's book selection and meeting location, or are we skipping August?

The Hugo novel winner, "The Calculating Stars", is only $2.99 on Kindle today-- Lets say we read that next.

Sorry about all the delays, got sick, broke my toe, had my annual oncology check up which stresses me out and gives me migraines, but I'm back on track now.
