Ekrem, can you tell us more about the boy (e.g., his age, parents/family and do they have special powers, any romance)?
Are there fantastical creatures on Earth, besides the mages and invading demons?

Ekrem (OP) was last active on the site in November 2021.
I read a book 6-7 years ago (possible series) about a boy whom is part of order that fights demon invaders in present day. I remember small parts from the book, so i can try to list them for you:
- Order has two castes; mages and warriors. Boy is mage but he is trained as warrior also. He is an anomaly, has stronger powers, uses light element as his power.
- Most of the mages see warriors as inferior, but our hero does not. He feels closer to them.
- Demon invades through portals, an order detects those portals or try to find them through clues and destroy the demons before they wreak too much havoc.
- If i remember correctly, place is present USA. Every states has a chapter with its fighters and it is captain.
- Order keeps demons' presence as secret from mundane world, but in some part of the book they had to notify the public, because order learned that demons are planning for large invasion, so they notify the state's governor and after some convincing army stand together with order to fight the demons at the portal.
- Warriors/mages link their power while fighting.
- At some point our hero goes to demon world through their portal, there were structures like skyscrapers.
That's all i remember.
