Leah (flying_monkeys) | 1009 comments I read this one last year so I won't be re-reading, but I think y'all will enjoy it. I haven't read the sequel yet, Darkest Light, only because it's not available at my library. 🙁

I'm not sure what book I'll start first, but I'll definitely be reading this one!

I will definitely be reading this one too!
I have to first finish what I am currently reading now. Next up is The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. Both are kind of longish, so I imagine I won't get to this one until August.

Is anyone else reading this?
I am trying to decide if I take this book on vacation or not. I am leaving in a few hours and just read the first 4 chapters. It looks interesting, but not necessarily what I'm in the mood for right now.
I reminds me of Neil Gaimans children's books.

That's promising! I like Gaiman's children's books.

I plan to read it eventually, but it's last on my list for this group read. So it will be mid-September. Hopefully I can get to it.

Leah (flying_monkeys) | 1009 comments I read it last year and loved it. Not sure if I'd classify it as a vacation read... but I think once you reach the mythic side, you'll get into it more. Personally, it reminds me more of a Hayao Miyazaki film than a Gaiman book, though I've only read a couple of Gaiman's children's books, which I admittedly loved.

That makes me even more interested in reading it!

Annette | 271 comments I just ordered it. I’m a bit behind because I’ve been away from home.

I will definitely read it when I am back home!
Regarding vacation books, I can't believe what I did!
When I was at my local bookstore I inquired about when the latest Eden Robinson Trickster book was coming in and they replied that they had paperback copies coming in so I ordered.
So when I picked it up I did not notice, I did not even notice until I started reading in the plane that it was Trickster Drift which I have in hardback and already read at the beginning of the year!

But I am still enjoying it, every bit as much as I did the first time around, which shows me Eden Robinson has definitely become one of my favourite authors!
