I read an ARC of "Gods of Jade and Shadow" by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. It's about an 18 year-old woman who leaves her home to accompany a god on a journey throughout Mexico during the Jazz Age. Without giving too much away, it's a great read for fans of both historical fiction and mythological fantasy. It will be released on July 23rd, so it'll be available for reading.
I don't know if Circe by Madeline Miller has been suggested before, but I think it'd be a great choice for this. Although it is a retelling; or rather a reinventing of Circe's mythos, it is also based on Homer's Odyssey and that book is a great journey and adventure.
Lenore, Circe is such a great book! I listened to the audio book a few months back aJules Vernend absolutely LOVED it!! It would be awesome for the group to read this one!
Gods of Jade and Shadow sounds absolutely fantastic. I already have the kindle edition pre-ordered and will be reading this asap whether or not it gets the vote! :D

John, Around the World in Eighty Days is such a wonderful classic! I adore Jules Verne!!
I recently read The River by Peter Heller which is an adventure/travel story and a thriller. I read it in 1 day! Also, Cheryl Strayed's Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail is one of my all time favourites. I wouldn't mind rereading it.
I’m currently reading Recursion by Blake Crouch, it’s a thriller with time travel...would love to be able to discuss it!

August is a great month to get those last minute vacations in before school starts back up and, while getting into vacation mode, it's easy and fun to daydream about all of the different adventures one can go one! So for this month, lets read a book about traveling! Whether its like Bilbo leaving behind the Shire to go on an adventure that is both dangerous and exciting or how Frances Mayes steps off the bus in Tuscany while on vacation and decides to start a new life in a new country, some of the most interesting moments in our lives are the ones that happen when we are far from home! That being said, it's a lot cheaper to read about someone else's adventure from the comfort of our own home! :D So lets see what awesome adventures we can come up with this time around!
