Last Days by Adam Nevill has been on my radar for a while. I've been into some docu-style horror lately.Really like the theme this month! Should have some good nominations.

That looks awesome, seconded!
There's a horror book podcast I started binging recently. One of the women loved Beneath. It deals with cults and childhood trauma/repressed memories. She said it was terrifying.

Can we 2nd a book even we've read it and are not going to re-read? If so then Last Days is amazing and I'd 2nd or third that. I also want to nominate Nightfall

Rosemary's Baby by Ira Levin"
Just an FYI, Rosemary's Baby is August book of the month over at Creatures Creatures Everywhere.

I'd like to nominatePandemonium by Daryl Gregory (demons)
Geek Love by Katherine Dunn (cults) - probably everyone except me's already read this 🤣 but I'll throw it out there anyway.
Another book I'm dying (no pun intended) to read is Come Closer. It's a possession story that is told from a first person perspective.

*whispers..."Alan's not supposed to know about the Shining Cult....who blabbed?"*

The Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker
Just bought a used copy of this, and it doesn't appear to have been a group read in several years.

That's a cool read.
Not to be confused with the book "Beneath" that was posted earlier in this thread, there is another book called "Beneath" that does deal with Hell, demons, possessions, hooded figures, cults and I will nominate that book. Also it seems to have received four and five star reviews since its release.
by Kit Tinsley
Jon Recluse wrote: "Please, no books read in the last year, no self promotion (or I start raising Hell) and we'll all have some fun. ..."If anyone promotes their own books you might need to hit the 'exorcism,' button...
That maybe quite effective at banishing unwanted intrusive spirits that seek to possess the thread and turn it to their own nefarious (or infernal, as the case may be) ends.

I second hell: the possession and exorcism of Cassie Stevens. It was scary and a great possession story!

Possession, cults, demons....if it raises Hell, it works.
Please, no books read in the last year, no self promotion (or I start raising Hell) and we'll all have some fun.
