Ok, discussion time. :) I'm grabbing my copy from my local library today, hopefully others have managed to get hold of it as well. I know it was quite difficult for me to get. Looking forward to reading reading it with you all.

Pavel (pavca838) | 5 comments Hi Monique, I start reading today too :o) I'm looking forward to see your (or anyone's) thoughts...

message 3: by Melanie (new)

Melanie Schneider (madamemelli) I also will pick it up at my library today! I had it in my hands a few years ago in another library but never took it with me. So it's nice that I will get the chance now.

Alright, so I'm about halfway into this book and have to say that it is honestly one of the funniest written books I've read to date, with the humour striking through every second or third page. The book moves along well and you're never bored :) what a trip to take! I've got to stop this review and get back to reading... Anyone else currently enjoying this book?

Pavel (pavca838) | 5 comments I'm enjoying the book too. Currently I'm in approx. one third and I have to agree with Monique that it's really a very funny book :o)

Aileen This book sounds super interesting and great, but I can't find it anywhere other than online, but that costs a lot of money.

Melanie Schneider (madamemelli) Aileen: do you have a library that supports inter-library loan? Just ask them, it is quite fast and is not too expensive!

Rachel (qog314) | 25 comments I'm only a couple chapters in. I have to say the premise is a little ridiculous, who does this kinda thing? :P But it's entertaining!

April Arnold | 18 comments So far, I'm finding this book hilarious. I've never been to Ireland but I imagine it to be full of whimsy and so is this book!

That's a good idea. I totally forgot about interlibrary loaning. I should still have a few free ones.

No problem Aileen. As I am working in a library that would be my first choice if there is no other possibility (especially because I never have to pay^^).

I finished the book today. I think it was very funny in some parts. I prefer the subtle humour, so this book was quite good. But I did not really got into the story that much that I started to fever with Tony for the next ride (I hope he uses the word in English, I read it on German). But it was a quick read and made me want even more to visit Ireland (long-term wish already!)

I finished this book a couple of days ago and I've got a review for it:
It's hilarious and entertaining, Tony keeps you turning the pages throughout his entire journey around Ireland. I loved the humour and the people he met. What a wonderful book. I could quite easily read it again when I'm traveling myself :)
I hope others enjoyed it as much as I did. Next months read will be up soon.

Suzan Eaton | 7 comments Just got it from the library!

Suzan Eaton | 7 comments And finally finished it! Just a wee late. A very enjoyable travelogue -- if I ever get back to Ireland will definitely look up the king of Tory Island.
