Write down some observations about your book. Feel free to include questions or quirky reflections of the tale you are currently reading.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

Who are you, Gillian Flynn? Your name reminds me of one of my favorite television series from long ago, The X- Files (until floorboard issue). What kind of mind tricks do you perform on your readers, for according to Zayne - this is your trick of trade. In reading the first 66 pages of Gone Girl, I am formulating possibilities and potential scenarios. Since we just finished with O'Brien's In the Lake of the Woods, John Wade still lingers through my psyche and truth be told Nick is playing it rather close to the grain. Was Amy's expectation too idealistic? Is he the kind that would harm what he could not control or keep? Which side of his persona secures dominance in moments of anger? What is in the box?
