I read this book for the ATY 2019 Reading Challenge Week 46: a book with a mostly black cover.

A pogrom bit their heels.
Drove them west
to New York.

Life still hard.
Still biting their heels.
Clara fought back.

Through the blood,
Sweat, and tears of thousands.
Life got better.

But Clara never rested.
