Hello Jane Austen lovers! I wanted to share a project with you. It's an upcoming movie titled The Janeites, which is after crowdfunding to enter production. Please have a look here - https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/th... Send me an email at info@seanoreillyfilm.com or direct message me, if you'd like more information! You can also follow our page by searching The Janeites Film

Synopsis of the Kipling story they want to film:
As they wait for a whistle to signal their charge into no-man’s land, a group of nervous soldiers find they all share something which helps them through the nightmarish experience: a love of Jane Austen.

I read it without subscribing, Marlene. But it may be that you have to if you're from outside the UK, as it's a UK newspaper article.

I've visited, but it was many years ago in the 80s, so it pre-dates P&P 1995 by a good few years, so the significance of what we saw didn't register very much. Back then, it was just another lovely National Trust owned stately home.

I can't claim anywhere near Rose's total, but my total was exactly 250 read. Haven't checked how many are in my TBR list, but probably quite a number. It'd have been more if all of say, Cat Gardiner's books, had been listed. I think there were some other authors whose entire canon was missing, too.

J. W. Garrett (jeannewallacegarrett) | 1252 comments Aug 29 is the end of the KU offering for Leenie Brown's 'A Dash of Darcy and Companions Cottage Collection 1.'

Her next KU offering will be from her Willow Hall Romance series and she is in the process of changing and updating all the covers as she prepares that series for Kindle Unlimited. While in KU, Amazon requires that they are pulled from all other venders. Just saying.

65 Reviews: 63% 5-stars & 22% 4-stars

Abigail Bok (regency_reader) Tomalin's was the standard biography for many years and is still worth a read, even though new information has led to newer ones.

message 48: by Debbie (last edited Aug 24, 2019 06:58AM) (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 633 comments Pride & Prosperity is currently free. However, be aware that apparently it's NOT a P&P variation, though it's "Austen-inspired." No, I haven't read it myself (yet?), but that's what I guess based on book blurb and Amazon reviewer who was disappointed when she didn't find D&E, Longbourn, Netherfield, etc. I got it anyway because--hey! It's free!

message 49: by J. W. (new)

J. W. Garrett (jeannewallacegarrett) | 1252 comments Yep... me too. Guess we'll find out. Wonder why that person was disappointed? It is plainly marked that it is NOT P&P but Austen inspired. Oh well. We sometimes fail to read the fine print. I know I do.

message 50: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (dmbrown) | 633 comments Reviewer said that was added to the blurb after she'd originally posted her review.
