Carmen stopped in, ringing the bell on the door. "Hey Carter, get me my usual!" She yelled to her best friend who worked here.

Shakima, or Sparky, was sitting at a table, sipping a burning hot latte with two sugars. She specifically chose a window seat, so she could see the activity rushing by. Her dark, dark skin was contrasted by a white, flowery tank top, her lips painted with bright red lipstick. Pretty was one way to describe her, but she preferred to be called warrior-like .
Yeah. Pretty was such a pansy word.

Carmen grinned as her cute waiter friend brought out her custom latte. She patted his cheek playfully. "Thank you bub."

Observing the woman who patted the waiter's cheek, Sparky tilted her head, her brain piecing together information.
A confident stance.
Broad shoulders.
Muscled arms from lifting.
A bulge, multiple places, where a weapon was stashed.
"Hey." Sparky called to Carmen. "You're a banisher, aren't you?"

Carmen looked up. "Yeah?" she said simply. "What about it?"

She stood up, and held out her hand. "I am also a banisher. My name is Sparky, nice to meet you."

"Nice. Name's Carmen." She replied with a smile.

"Carmen. Cool name. Say, I got a tip yesterday that a couple of demons escaped the seal yesterday. I have information to believe that they're headed towards the ghettos. Wanna get them?" She half smiled, her face mischievous.

Carmen eyed her latte. "Hm. Suuure why not?" She said with a shrug.

"You can drink your latte first." Sparky laughed. "I also need to finish my beverage," she motioned to the lonely cup of coffee at her window seat.

Carmen took a gulp and it was gone. "Make it fast." She teased with a grin.

"Wow. That was unexpected." Sparky blinked, and sipped from her cup. "Didn't that burn your throat?"

"Nah, I'm used to it." Carmen grinned and shrugged.

"You're really weird." Sparky laughed, almost spitting out her coffee. With about three more sips, her coffee was downed. "Boom. Let's go."
