Did Clancy rape Ruby in that scene where he froze her and made her think that she wanted to kiss him? It kind of seemed that way...

I don't think so. She's a virgin I'm pretty sure, so she would feel it afterwards. And it's not really that kind of book, if he really did that would surprise me.
Morning star, elena and rebecca: im almoust posotive clancy rapes her in the novel because if you read the details close enough it pointed in the direction that she was raped. for instance, elena, in the novel after she woke up in clancys bed she said: "The pain came back to me in peices. what did he do to me?" So she actually did say she had felt pain after she woke up. and even later on when they were trying to escape clancy made a comment pointed out that he did more to her than just messing with her mind. He said: " I toyed with more than her feelings." which implied had had indeed raped her. also elena how would you know what type of book it is if you couldn't even see the small details that pointed out that she was most likly raped. Lastly if you actually paid attention to the book you would have known he was after ruby all along and it shouldn't suprise you. Im not saying that you didn't read it just maybe you should check your facts before posting something.
I don't really know if Clancy raped Ruby. Either way whatever he did or didn't do clearly made her distraught. I knew Clancy was bad news ever since they arrived at East River. Clancy will go down in history as one of my most hated book characters. On another note if you listen to Taylor Swift's Wildest Dreams it describes the wiping of Liam's mind perfectly from the perspective of Ruby.
I'm pretty sure he almost raped her because it said later on that she pulled free before he could do anything. but I'm still not sure because, at the same time she wasn't sure about it, she was saying 'what did he do to me.' also this is for that person who replied saying that he did, I think the reason she said she felt pain was more of a mental pain, not physical because he was also breaking into her mind and that could hurt her head like a pounding headache, or the pain was betrayal and she felt a heartache because at one point she almost liked him (like crush kind of like).
@Chloe you know you sure got a little nasty especially for someone who is wrong. The author has addressed this several times that Ruby was not raped. She was violated mentally and obviously forcefully kissed. But not raped. If you go and read Alexandra Bracken’s tumbler under FAQ she addresses this.
