Alexander sat lazily in his chair, popping a grape into his mouth slowly, as he took in the scene before him. Prancing across the width of the throne room was an exotic dancer - a present sent to him from one of his faraway allies. In that distant kingdom, the idea of a concubine was clearly had, and though Alexander would certainly take this girl to bed, he'd not be able to call her that. Oh the technicalities of it all. Her long, shiny black hair and olive skin tone was unlike the usual fair ladies of Aureus, and as always, Alexander liked a change of scenery. She moved in wonderful ways, and he presumed she was perfectly obedient, as foreign women often were.

He was still waiting, however, for his general to arrive. They had important things to discuss; and the girl was entertaining him whilst he waited.

Bright red, curly hair was left to bounce around Arryn's head as she walked with purpose through the halls. She had on one of her nicer outfits, as she wanted to look presentable to his Majesty. She wondered what it was that he was calling her in for, as he only called her in to talk when it was something rather important. Usually it was a simple order, so the fact that he had request her to come to the throne room was worrisome.

Arryn made it to the large doors of the throne room, taking a breath before entering the room. Her eyes near immediately traveled to the foreigner moving across the floor, but left the girl as soon just as quickly. Boots clicking against the floor as she took a few strides to get closer to the throne, she smiled slightly. She stopped when she was around ten feet away from the throne and bowed respectfully. "My deepest apologies for keeping you waiting, my King."

As Arryn entered, Alexander relaxed slightly. She had dressed in her finer clothes, as she often did when he ever spoke to her at formal request, and this small show of fealty pleased him greatly. Alexander smiled and clicked his fingers. The music, and the concubine stopped immediately, her rich jewelry no longer swing to and fro haphazardly. With a flick of his hand, the entourage milled out of the room, the dancer going with them. The doors closed once more, leaving the king and his general alone.

"It is of no consequence, Arryn," he said calmly, "Just do not do it again." He stood up and walked down to her level, loping around the side of the hall in deep thought. "We have a problem - one of my younger sisters, like the sneaky traitor she is, stole into the city last night and did not return. I have strong reason to believe the resistance have gotten their claws into my family members... As you can imagine, this is an issue."

Arryn tried-- and failed-- to keep her eyes away from Alexander as he moved around the room. As she listened to his speak, she tried to predict what he wanted her to do about the situation. Did he want her to go out and find the princess? She wouldn't exactly put it past him to have her go fetch the girl only to bring her back to be imprisoned and tortured at the very least. She knew her King, and he did not mess around, no matter who it may be who went against him. Part of her was extremely attracted to that, his strong sense of intolerance.

Getting her mind out of that place quickly as he finished talking, she mulled over her reply for a moment. "Of course, Sire. Not only an issue, but if it is the case that the resistance has gotten to your siblings, then that would mean that they're knocking right on your door." She let her hand rest against the sword on her hip. "And what would you have me do about this disappearance, my King?"
