Robert | 18 comments I'm a rocker at heart, but perhaps my favourite "genre" has to be psychedelic music. By psychedelic music, I intend the music that opened minds and hearts alike since the 1960s. Psychedelic bands par eccellenza go from The 13th Floor Elevators (R.I.P. Roky Erickson:() to Moby Grape and from Jefferson Airplane and Grateful Dead to the MC5....and from Eric Stumpo's Plan 9 on through to the Miracle Workers and beyond. As you can see, psychedelic music spans over decades and is still quite popular among listeners who wish to listen to something "stranger" than mainstream rock.
So, dig in and let's have a hearty talk on this amazing music.

Robert | 18 comments Ok so very very few people dig psychedelic music ......just goes to show how 99% of music listeners out there prefer the sillier, sterile commercial crap played on FM radio and social media. By sterile music I mean 100% of the so-called "disco/ dance music" and wimpy pop surrogates of the real thing.....by the way, who was the nutcase who first used "disco" to denominate music danced to in a discoTEQUE - as if there was no other music danced to in the past AND excluding any form of rock or psychedelic music which, of course, CAN be danced to and is waaaay less wimpy than "disco" :).
What levels of mere stupidity in music have people reached ????!!!
Discoteques have always existed and people have been dancing to all sorts of music (inc r' n ' r) ever since the 30s. Before the late '50s, there were dance halls and ballrooms to !!!
