It a classic, and I think about it all the time. In light of North and South Korea, and even the upcoming show in Sauid Arabia... but honeslty, it describes kinda how we all experience our own societies to a degree.[MC]

I read it last year, and it was difficult to get through on its own. I finished it and I think it's worth the read, especially with the political climate in countries around the world.

Chikki | 1 comments I read this and Ayn Rand's Anthem a few days apart and I liked this more. They have similar themes, but I think 1984 was able to really paint this bleak society with more clarity--also, even though some of the ideas here may have seemed farfetched when it was written, a lot of it feels very relevant to what's been happening all over the world.

Buddy | 1 comments Finished it some years ago. There are parts which I struggled with when I was reading the book and some parts I felt like I didn't understand but thinking about the book after I've put down, it is a good book. Deserve the classic status it has.
