Play Book Tag discussion

Teetering between 4-5 stars, Louisa Clark won over my heart, and I'm granting this 5 stars, the same rating I gave the first, Me Before You. After the forgettable sequel After You, I had pretty low expectations for this one- but I got sucked in, fell in love with all the lovable characters, and was left with tears in my eyes multiple times.

Louisa has moved to NYC for a new job aiding a wife of a wealthy businessman. The wife has her own issues, along with the entire family. The new family lives in a tenant building, so we get to know some of the neighbors, as well as the other staff members (the help) along with their personal lives and their own plots. Louisa has her own issues with her personal romance, missing her family at home, and the pressure of being in a new city.

The writing style is quick paced, fun, witty. Moyes really makes you fall in love with not just Louisa, but many of the characters. We get some nostalgia with mentions of old characters (Will, Nathan, the Traynors, ect). Yes, some of this was predictable, yes a lot of it was way "too convenient" and everything was wrapped with a nice and tidy bow. But I FELT for Louisa with everything she went through, and Moyes has a tricky way to hit my heartstrings in just the right way.

Loved this finale! I thought it was just great!

Still on my TBR but I've enjoyed every Jojo Moyes I've read. I'm hoping for a tag it will fit soon! Especially after this review.
