message 1: by Sophie, The Joker (new)

Sophie | 1255 comments I recently messaged Stephanie Burgis to ask her if she knew Sienna Mercer as in the front of some of the MSTV books it says 'Special thanks to Stephanie Burgis'. If she did could she please tell her we love her books. I also told her about our group.

She replied (wow!) to say that she had passed the message onto Mercer's editor and was waiting for a reply. She said our group looks cool (which it does, lol) and that she knew Sienna Mercer would be thrilled by it. She also said any author would love a group like ours for their books.

It was awesome to get a reply from a real, life author! Stephanie was really nice considering I wasn't even messaging her about one of her books (which look awesome btw!). Have you ever read any of her books? Would you recommend them?

Thanks again Stephanie, :D

message 4: by Sophie, The Joker (new)

Sophie | 1255 comments I started Kat, Incorrigible by Stephanie Burgis yesterday and so far I'm really enjoying it. I'll let you guys know what I think when I've finished it.

message 5: by Suzy (new)

Suzy | 22 comments That's great! Just knowing Sienna could possibly know about your group very soon is awesome!!

message 6: by S (new)

S (sage-m-goodreads) That's cool. Do let us know! Also, are you counting it toward the MSTMB 2015 challenge?

message 7: by Sophie, The Joker (new)

Sophie | 1255 comments I am. I'm going to count it for read a book with a book on the cover and read a book with a character named Olivia in it.

message 8: by Daisy, The Brains (new)

Daisy | 1399 comments Awesome, Soph! It's on my to-read list so I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of it.

message 9: by Sophie, The Joker (new)

Sophie | 1255 comments Due to Daisy's request I have now added an explanation mark to the title of this thread.

Also I finished Kat, Incorrigible towards the end of April/ beginning of May and it was amazing! I really liked it and would highly recommend to fans of Sienna Mercer.

message 10: by Daisy, The Brains (new)

Daisy | 1399 comments Haha, a glimpse into the important decisions made by the mods of My Sibling the Mythical Being! Good to hear you liked it so much, Sophie. I'm really excited to read it!

message 11: by Daisy, The Brains (new)

Daisy | 1399 comments Well, after more than a year I finally read Kat, Incorrigible too! And it was sooo good! Definitely one for Sister the Vamp fans - for sure. I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy! :D

message 12: by Sophie, The Joker (new)

Sophie | 1255 comments Update update. I have now read the entire Kat, Incorrigible trilogy. I rated all three books 5 star, I absolutely loved them. The family aspect of these books is great, the regency era setting is wonderful and the characters are quite marvellous.

message 13: by Daisy, The Brains (new)

Daisy | 1399 comments Argh I so want to read them!!

message 14: by Daisy, The Brains (new)

Daisy | 1399 comments Hey, so, I was wondering, if Sienna Mercer keeps putting 'Special Thanks to Stephanie Burgis' in the beginning of her most recent books, what do you guys reckon Stephanie Burgis's role is in helping out with the books? Is she just a good friend of Mercer's? Does she help her come up with the ideas? Does she edit it for her?

Just wondering what theories you might have. ;)

message 15: by Sophie, The Joker (new)

Sophie | 1255 comments I haven't a clue. Your suggestions all sound plausible.

message 16: by Daisy, The Brains (new)

Daisy | 1399 comments I think the most likely scenario is that she helps her in the early stages of planning. After seventeen books it's probably difficult to come up with ideas!
