I do plan to read this. Going to the library tomorrow. I have never read it but I do remember seeing the animated TV movie many times back in the early '80's I believe. I look forward to it as I am an animal lover and it is listed on a books-for-animal-lovers list here on GoodReads. And also because it is considered a classic.

I’m planning on reading! It’ll be a first read for me. I rarely read any fiction in my elementary career and by the time I learned the joys of it, the younger books weren’t even on my radar. I’m excited to see what I’ve missed out on!
I've read it several times. Most recently I did so for the Newbery Club. Bit of trivia: it's an honor book, was bested for the medal by Secret of the Andes which I'd be surprised to learn if any of you have ever heard of!
I think I may be one of the few who have heard of Secret of the Andes. I had a childhood friend who was born in Peru. Her grandma gave her this book. I always meant to borrow it but never did
I'm very excited to read this childhood classic! I watched the animated film quite a bit when I was young but I don't believe I ever actually read the book.Time to correct that!
I’m about 1/3 of the way through this little classic kids title. I’ve never read it or had it read to me as a child, but I do remember seeing the film in school and the book has refreshed my memory of that time in my life.
I know I read this in elementary school, but I plan to re-read it to my children this month. They love the film version--I hope they like the book as well! I'm looking forward to hearing it again myself.
I'm in! I've never read the book or seen the movie. Don't know how I missed it growing up. It was written one year after I was born! Just started it yesterday.
Just came home from library, got my copy so I'll be joining. Need something fresh and sweet after finishing "Perfume";)
Growing up in Sweden I read other children literature - and saw other children cartoons - so I know more or less nothing about the book. I've had Charlotte's Web on my to-read list for around a year now and this will be the perfect reason to tick it off the list. Really looking forward to reading it.
Exciting to read all the positive comments. It's a book that I wouldn't normally pick up by myself, so glad to have the motivation from the group to give it a go.
My cousin (who is about 10 years younger than me) loved the animated movie when he was a toddler, so I've seen it more times than I can count. I really did enjoy it too. I think it is such a nice story. When he was 3 our local high school did the play and we took him to see it. It was a lot of fun!
I'm excited to finally read the book. I put a hold on a copy at my library and should be able to go pick it up in a day or two.

I read this in English last year for a different club. I'm a firm believer in reusing books for EVERY bookish project/list/club I am involved in. As a linguist, I am beyond excited to reuse this, this time in Spanish translation! I've never read it in Spanish before. Heading to the library for it tomorrow. Also, sorry I'm "late', but I also believe book clubs are more adventurous when you ''lay low'' and don't follow the order everyone else is.
